Searching For The Great Pumpkin
This past Sunday we went together to a pumpkin patch to search for our Halloween pumpkin. We went to a pumpkin patch located in the Beverly Hills/Hollywood area. It cost $8 for adults to get in and $2 for kids...the ticket cost is then applied towards your purchase of a pumpkin. This was a capitalistic pumpkin patch because sodas were $2, bouncing in a jumper for 5 measly minutes cost $3, riding a pony was $5, face painting was $4, and I'm sure the other activities cost just as much if not more... luckily we were able to get our pumpkin and leave with the shirts on our back. You could easily blow $40 per kid if you stayed for an hour or two. Anyways...we took along Custo...Justin's friend that day. He had spent the night over. Here is Custo on the pony and if you look carefully you can see Justin in the background. Custo just woke up from a nap in the car, hence the "I'm not really feeling this pony thing right now" look. Justin named his horse "Silver"...I don't remember ever telling him about the Lone Ranger nor do I think he has ever seen anything related to it, but that was the name he came up with.Justin on the other hand was soooo loving his experience riding the pony. He was smiling the whole time.
Sometimes Nancy likes to talk about having a 3rd kid...which I think she is totally bonkers...because she would like to have a girl. The only problem is there is always that greater chance that we would end up with a 3rd boy. Whenever we have Custo over we get to have a taste what it would be like to have 3 boys. And it taste like Acetaminophen(main ingredient in Tylenol)/Alcohol(a good stiff drink)/or some sort of anti-anxiety prescription...one of these or all of them is needed to take care of 3 energetic boys. Don't get me wrong...it's definitely exciting and fun at times, but to imagine dealing with this for at least 18 years can be overwhelming. One thing for sure...with 3 boys...your day is never boring. I don't want to even think what it would be like to have 4. Here is Nancy and the boys posing for a pic on a wooden horse that the owner of the pumpkin patch probably uses for his Christmas tree forest during Christmas...gees I bet he charges an arm and leg for that too. Here is a rare photo op with me...I'm usually always behind the camera. We'll finish with pictures of the most mischievous of the 3 boys. And to think we thought this kid would be the easiest when he was an infant...there's a reason why his nickname is Stitch. He's soooo darn cute though. Isn't he?
