A Jedi, Yoda, and Halloween
Halloween...Halloween...and Halloween. That is all Justin could think about all of October. This year Justin was into Clone Wars...so he made the decision that he would be Luke Skywalker and Dylan would be Yoda. I was supposed to be Hans Solo and Nancy was supposed to be Princess Leah, but we opted out to dress up for those characters. This Halloween was a busy one. I had to prepare 20 goody bags for Justin's class. 15 goody bags and cook 60 potstickers for Dylan's school. The night before Halloween was a lot of work. The night before Halloween I finished work and got home around 12:30am. I immediately had to start working on making 35 goody bags. I got to bed around 3am. I had to wake up around 6:30am. Then take the kids to school. I got back to home around 9am...started cooking potstickers for Dylan's potluck at his school and delivered them around 10:30am...helped Dylan's daycare do a little trick or treating...drove back and picked up Justin at 11:35am. No rest for the wicked. On top of all that I had to work at 6pm at the restaurant. At least I got everything done and everything turned out well.
I will first cover Dylan's Halloween experience. Here is Dylan and his older buddy trick or treating. Here are some of his classmates dressed up.Here is Dylan walking down from a house. Here is Yoda Dylan walking to another house. Here is Dylan dressed up and smiling as Yoda with another classmate who was also dressed up as Yoda and Dylan's older buddy.
Here is a short video clip of me trying to get Dylan and the kids to say Trick or Treat.
Justin was not allowed to dress up during school hours because I guess the school felt that the kids dressing up would be disrupting to classes during learning time. So they set aside a time for a costume parade before the Annual Halloween Carnival. Here is Justin and Nancy posing for a picture before the parade.
Here is Justin proudly posing in his Luke Skywalker costume. Here is a short clip of Justin giving a light saber demonstration.
Here is Justin posing with his teacher. Here is one of Justin's classmates dressed up as a witch. She is so cute. She looks like the little girl in the Halloween Disneyland commercial. Here is a picture of Justin posing with one of his buddies dressed up as Venon. One of the best and most creative costumes I enjoyed was made by one of Justin's classmates. It was simple, but done very well. His classmate was dressed up as Wall E. A simple box, but painted well and it really looked like Wall E. The rest of these shots are of Justin's classmates. The last picture is of Justin during the parade. The young Jedi night walking proudly.
