Dinner and Guitar Hero

This past Sunday our friends Dan, Jay, and their son Caleb invited us over for dinner. Since we don't really have family in Los Angeles it's always great to spend time with our friends. It's especially great when they are married with kids. Even though you are a family and as a family we are constantly busy...it can be lonely at times. So it is always great to hang out with other families and share experiences with each other. It makes you feel like you are not alone in this journey of raising a family.

It was a delightful evening of excellent food, good wine, and great time of fellowship. We always knew that Jay was a virtuous wife, but we also found out the Dan is an excellent cook. We started off with a mixed green salad that had these wonderful marinated tomatoes that Dan had prepared. Then we moved onto these awesome steamed mussels. The main course was a tasty pasta dish that was cooked to perfection. We finished off with some deserts from Porto that we brought over for the evening.

Afterwards, Dan busted out guitars for Guitar Hero on the Wii. Dan is the man on this game. He can really jam. He can play really well on a real guitar as well. The kids really got into also. Watch out Jonas Brother...The 3Asian Brothas are about to break loose.
